Course Description:

This 1-hour continuing education training presents a 4-step resilience framework for mental health professionals, educators, and support staff. Rooted in trauma-informed care and positive psychology, this approach supports clients and students by combining personal development with relational and community-based healing.

Participants will learn how to facilitate structured self-discovery and accountability, integrate daily emotional awareness practices, implement motivational systems for goal achievement, and intentionally connect clients and students to faith, family, and community as protective factors that nurture long-term resilience.

 Learning Objectives:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify and apply a 4-step resilience model grounded in trauma-informed and strength-based practices.

  2. Facilitate self-reflection, goal setting, and accountability routines with clients or students.

  3. Implement simple emotional check-ins and weekly affirmation systems to build emotional regulation skills.

  4. Design a motivational support system using color-coded progress tracking and meaningful incentives.

Integrate faith, family, and community into treatment or coaching plans to reinforce sustainable resilience.
